Billing, Trial, Cancellation & Refund Policy
Last updated: 23 Jul 2026
This policy explains billing, trials, cancellation, and refunds for subscriptions and paid services provided by assistresearc.top to users in Japan. It is intended to support clear disclosure of cancellation/withdrawal rules under the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions (Act No. 57 of 1976), Article 15-2.
1) Pricing, currency, and taxes
- All prices are shown in Japanese Yen (JPY) on the checkout/payment screen at the time you place your order.
- Any applicable consumption tax (if required) and the total payable amount will be shown before you confirm payment.
- If you pay through a third-party payment method, that provider may apply separate fees or exchange/processing charges; those are between you and the provider.
2) Trials (if offered)
- If a free or discounted trial is offered, its length and the amount that will be charged after the trial are displayed during sign-up/checkout.
- Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan and billing will start at the then-disclosed price and frequency.
3) Auto-renewal and billing frequency
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the frequency shown at checkout (e.g., monthly or annually) until you cancel.
- By completing checkout, you authorize recurring charges using your selected payment method.
4) How to cancel
You can cancel at any time:
- From your account billing/subscription settings (if available); or
- By emailing [email protected] from the email address linked to your account.
Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless expressly stated at checkout, cancellation does not retroactively reverse charges already processed for the current billing period.
5) Refunds, returns, and withdrawal
Because the service is provided online, we generally do not accept returns and we generally do not provide refunds for unused time, except where required by law or where we explicitly agree in writing.
- If we present special provisions about refunds/cancellation at the time of purchase, those provisions apply (Act on Specified Commercial Transactions (Act No. 57 of 1976), Article 15-2).
- If a refund is approved, it will be processed to the original payment method where possible. Processing time may vary by payment provider.
- If you believe you were charged in error, contact us promptly with your account email, the charge date, and the amount.
6) Chargebacks and payment disputes
If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute, we may suspend access while the dispute is investigated. We may provide relevant transaction and service-use records to the payment provider to respond to the dispute.
7) Changes to plans or this policy
We may change plan features, prices, billing processes, or this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the service, email, or at checkout before they take effect for new purchases or the next renewal, as applicable.
