1. Acceptance & eligibility
By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. You must be able to form a binding contract under applicable law and follow any rules of your school, employer, or funding body.
2. Accounts & security
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials confidential. Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized use.
3. Acceptable use
- No illegal, harmful, or deceptive activity.
- No academic dishonesty (e.g., submitting AI output as your own where prohibited; cheating; impersonation).
- No infringement of intellectual property; no DRM/circumvention or scraping that violates laws or third-party terms.
- No interfering with security, availability, or integrity of the Service.
4. Your content & responsibilities
You retain rights to content you submit. You grant us a limited license to host and process it to provide the Service. You are responsible for obtaining permissions to upload or process third-party materials and for verifying outputs, sources, and citations before relying on them.
5. Service outputs; no guarantees
The Service may generate summaries, translations, or citations that can be incomplete, incorrect, or biased. Outputs are for informational purposes and are not professional advice. We do not guarantee accuracy, suitability, or that results will meet your requirements.
6. Fees, subscriptions, cancellation
If you purchase paid plans, pricing and transaction terms are shown at checkout and on our Commercial Disclosure page (Act on Specified Commercial Transactions (Act No. 57 of 1976), Article 11). Cancellation/refund/return rules are disclosed in advance as required (Act on Specified Commercial Transactions (Act No. 57 of 1976), Article 15-2).
7. Intellectual property
We and our licensors own the Service, software, and related IP. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute the Service except as permitted by law or written permission.
8. Privacy
Personal information is handled under our Privacy Policy and applicable law, including the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003). If we transfer data overseas or provide to third parties, relevant notices/consents may apply (Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003), Article 28; Article 31). If applicable, external transmission disclosures are provided (Telecommunications Business Act (Act No. 86 of 1984), Article 27-12).

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if needed to protect the Service, users, or comply with law. You may stop using the Service at any time.
10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, or for losses arising from your reliance on outputs. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will post the updated version with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
12. Governing law & venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court will have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
